Title

APPROVING EXTENSION OF THE UNIFORM RENTAL AGREEMENT WITH ARAMARK UNIFORM SERVICES, AT THE SAME TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS THE CURRENT AGREEMENT, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2015, OR UNTIL A NEW AGREEMENT IS AWARDED; WHICHEVER DATE IS FIRST.

Body

BACKGROUND:                     The above referenced agreement expired on May 10, 2015.  Prior to the expiration of the agreement, staff requested that an extension be granted to September 30, 2015.  The extension was approved by the City Commission via Resolution 15-040.

Uniforms will be acquired with the new City branding incorporated. Aramark Uniform Services has agreed to a temporary contract extension through December 31, 2015, at the same terms and conditions as the current agreement (refer to attached correspondence).  Approval of this extension by the City Commission, will give City staff and Aramark Uniform Services personnel time to complete the assessment of our current and future uniform needs; standardize specifications for the uniforms, and complete the negotiations for the new agreement.

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approve temporary extension through December 31, 2015, or until a new agreement is awarded; whichever date is first.

FISCAL IMPACT:                     Each participating department has budgeted funds
