BACKGROUND:

Staff researched athletic field turf fertilizers and treatment products to determine the highest quality products to insure a safe and healthy turf for our park users.  After careful evaluation of the products and considering the overall success of Harrell’s products at professional sports venues and the public athletic fields of neighboring municipalities, it was determined that Harrell’s products were the most advantageous solution for the City.

Harrell’s product is a proprietary product with a POLYON coated granular fertilizer that provides a time release of nutrients into the soil allowing City staff to reduce the total man hours it takes to apply fertilizer to our Bermuda turf athletic fields, and parks. This controlled release fertilizer provides the City with a more accurate schedule for providing proper nutrient levels to all grass maintained by the City.
