PARKS AND RECREATION MASTER PLAN UPDATE
BACKGROUND:
Overview
The City contracted with Heller and Heller Consulting, Inc. to conduct a City of Margate Parks Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan. The discussion of this workshop is to update the public on the overall project, and provide a summary update on the following:
I. Visioning Meetings with staff, public, key stakeholders
II. Capital Development Priorities
III. Comprehensive Plan Outline
IV. Deliver Draft Report
By the end of the workshop the goal is to list all modifications needed for the final adoption of the Master Plan, and to have a consensus approval for prioritizing the 5 year capital improvement projects recommended. After this workshop the remaining items to close out the project are as follows:
V. Deliver Final Report
VI. Final Presentation of the Master Plan
Feedback from Commission
The City Commission will be requested to provide feedback on the plan and the proposed projects including the priority order of the projects. The plan will then serve as a guide for development of park projects.
