BACKGROUND: Petitioner proposes adding a gasoline service station at the intersection of State

Road 7 and Royal Palm Boulevard/Copans Road. Presently there is a Valero gasoline service station at the southwest intersection of State Road 7 and Royal Palm Boulevard across State Road 7 from the proposed development. Section 8.4(B)(1)(g) of the Code requires 1,000-foot separation between gasoline service stations.
