AWARDING BID NO. 2015-019 WEST WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT EAST DIGESTER REHABILITATION TO RJ SULLIVAN CORPORATION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $969,000.00.

BACKGROUND:                     The west wastewater treatment plant east digester is in need of major rehabilitation to ensure continued future operation and safe and efficient accessibility for maintenance personnel.  Award of Bid No. 2015-019 East Digester Rehabilitation for the West Wastewater Treatment Plant will facilitate the continued operational and maintenance needs by means of the removal and replacement of the existing clarifier equipment, fine bubble diffuser equipment, walkways, platforms, handrails, guardrails, and all associated structures, equipment, appurtenances, valves, and piping.  It is recommended that award of Bid No. 2015-019 be made to the lowest bidder RJ Sullivan Corporation in an amount not to exceed $969,000.00. 

 

A total of eleven (11) bid packages were distributed and three (3) bid responses were received.  The bid responses were reviewed by City staff and the consultant engineering firm for the project Hazen and Sawyer.  Staff concurs with Hazen and Sawyer’s recommendation to award the bid to RJ Sullivan Corporation (refer to the attached bid evaluation letter from Hazen and Sawyer).
