Title
REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR BID NO. 2016-007 REFURBISHMENT OF TWO (2) WATER FLUME SLIDES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION; PROVIDING FOR REVISED SCOPE OF WORK, PROVIDING FOR REBID.
BACKGROUND: This item was previously advertised for bid and the City only received two bids. The original bid was for slide refurbishment with an alternate item for additional water feature replacement for the splash pad area. Staff recommends reissuing the bid providing for a change in the scope of work to remove the bid alternate option and incorporate all items listed into one bid, and to specifically list any and all permitting and licensing requirements in the new bid’s scope of work.
Note: Per FS 119.071, the rejected bids have not been attached to this agenda item as the bids are not public record until the City provides notice of intent to award the reissued competitive solicitation, or until the City withdraws the reissued competitive solicitation.
RECOMMENDATION: Reject all bids and reissue providing for change in scope of work.
