BACKGROUND: The Zoning Code currently requires the use of wheel stops whenever a parking space directly abuts a sidewalk. This ordinance will provide an exception to this rule under certain conditions, and also grant the flexibility to allow the use of bollards in lieu of wheel stops. The item was heard by the Development Review Committee on January 26, 2016 and comments are reflected in the attached meeting minutes.
