Title
A RESOLUTION OF THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (MCRA), APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH ROOF PAINTING BY HARTZELL, INC., FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MAINTAINED BUS SHELTERS.
BACKGROUND: On January 26, 2016, the MCRA issued Quote No. MCRA 16-4376 Routine Maintenance Services for the Margate CRA Maintained Bus Shelters. The scope of services for the fifteen (15) shelters included general cleaning in and around the shelters, trash removal including replacement liners and disposal three (3) times per week, monthly waste container cleaning, reporting weekly the conditions of the shelters and quarterly pressure washing.
Five responses were received and are as follows (per year of contract):
Roof Painting by Hartzell, Inc. $25,020
Advanced Asset Management $25,200
Perfection Landscaping & Property Maintenance, Inc. $32,560
Evergreen Cleaning Service, Inc. $44,002
Allamerican Pressure Cleaning Painting Co. $121,500
Staff recommends retaining the services of Roof Painting by Hartzell, Inc., as the lowest bidder for the routine maintenance of the bus shelters for one (1) year with option to renew for two (2) additional years if satisfied with their services.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the agreement with Roof Painting by Hartzell, Inc., for routine bus maintenance services.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding is allocated in 140-0510-512-31.38 Property Maintenance Services.
