Title
AN ORDINANCE TO INTRODUCE THE 11CG ALCOHOL LICENSE FOR GOLF COURSES.
BACKGROUND: The Department of Business and Profession Regulations, Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco has a type of alcohol allocation available specifically for golf courses that have at least 9 holes, and at least 35 acres. The City of Margate currently has two golf courses that serve alcohol; this ordinance would allow those golf courses to acquire the golf course specific license.
This item went before the Development Review Committee on March 22, 2016 and the Committee was in favor of moving the ordinance forward. The item went before the Planning and Zoning Board on April 5, 2016. Draft copies of both minutes are attached.
RECOMMENDATION: The Planning and Zoning Board voted to approve the ordinance with a 4-0 vote. Approved for Authorization to Advertise at the April 20, 2016, Regular City Commission Meeting.
