Title

RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AUTO USES AT 1690 BANKS ROAD AND 1700 BANKS ROAD

Body

BACKGROUND:                     In 2005, the property owner of 1690 and 1700 Banks Road petitioned to change the zoning designation from M-1A industrial park to M-1 light industrial.  During the rezoning process, the property owner voluntarily offered to prohibit auto uses at 1690 and 1700 Banks Road in order to facilitate the rezoning.  Now the property owner is requesting permission to allow auto uses at 1690 and 1700 Banks Road.

This item previously appeared on the April 20 Commission agenda as a resolution, but there was not a successful motion for further consideration.  Following the meeting, the petitioner requested to be placed on a meeting agenda in a quasi-judicial format so he has an opportunity to be heard.

RECOMMENDATION:                     Staff’s recommendation will be presented at the Commission meeting.
