Title
APPROVAL OF A TASK ORDER WITH SALTZ MICHELSON ARCHITECTS, INC. FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE MARGATE SPORTS FIELD, COVERED PLAY STRUCTURE AND RESTROOM/CONCESSION BUILDING
BACKGROUND: The FY 2016 Capital Improvement Program provides for potential improvements to a 1.5 acre parcel owned by the CRA and located on Banks Road at the Margate Sports Complex. This Task Order will commence the evaluation and design process for development of multi-purpose youth playing fields (t-ball, softball, baseball, soccer, flag football are possibilities) with a roof structure covering the fields. New restrooms and a concession building are also included.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Task Order with Saltz Michelson Architects, Inc. for the Sports Fields, Covered Play Structure and Restroom/Concession Building Architectural Design Services
FISCAL IMPACT: Authorization of $36,890.00 for schematic design and design development; $42,160.00 for construction documents; $25,500.00 for engineering and landscape architect subcontractors; $9,770.00 for bidding, public hearings, etc.; $2,500.00 reimbursable expenses; and $21,080.00 for construction administration for a total of $137,900.00. All amounts are included in the FY 2016 budget for this project of $1,750,000.
