Title
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH GOREN, CHEROF, DOODY AND EZROL, P.A. FOR MARGATE CRA LEGAL SERVICES.
BACKGROUND:
A Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide legal services to the MCRA was issued on March 10, 2016. Two qualified respondents made presentations to the CRA Board at the meeting of May 11, 2016. The Board selected the firm Goren, Cherof, Doody and Ezrol, P.A. and directed staff to prepare an agreement for legal services.
The attached agreement stipulates that the firm will provide legal services as described in the RFP, to be billed on an hourly basis pursuant to the rates contained in the RFP response (with the exception of bond services, which if needed would be negotiated separately). The term of the agreement is for three years, with an option for two one-year renewals. The agreement can be terminated at any time with thirty days’ written notice.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Resolution approving the Agreement with Goren, Cherof, Doody & Ezrol for Margate CRA legal services.
FISCAL IMPACT: $225.00 per hour of services provided
