Title
RESOLUTION - APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A FORD EXPLORER FROM DON REID FORD UTILIZING THE FLORIDA SHERIFF’S ASSOCIATION BID NO. 15-23-0904 WITH EXCEPTION FOR ITEMS NOT INCLUDED IN THE STATE CONTRACT PRICING FROM DON REID FORD, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $30,298.00; PROVIDING FOR BUDGET TRANSFER.
BACKGROUND: Section 7B of the Employment Agreement with Douglas E. Smith, as City Manager, (Resolution 12-483), provided the option to be furnished with a City provided automobile in lieu of a $400 monthly automobile allowance. This resolution provides for a budget transfer for purchase of a vehicle pursuant to the Employment Agreement.
The vehicle and associated packages are being purchased utilizing the Florida Sheriff’s Association Bid No. 15-23-0904 pricing with an exception for items not included in the State contract pricing from Don Reid Ford.
RECOMMENDATION: For consideration by the City Commission.
FISCAL IMPACT: The total cost of the vehicle will not exceed $30,298. This purchase was not previously budgeted. Monies will be transferred to the City Manager Acquisition of Vehicles Account. The amendment to record the transfer will be done at FY 2016 year-end with the annual budget amendment. Funding will be available in 001-0410-512.64-02.
