A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF THE NORTHWEST FOCAL POINT SENIOR CENTER DISTRICT, APPROVING FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017 ANNUAL BUDGET.

Body

BACKGROUND: Proposed Budget for the Northwest Focal Point Senior Center District for the

                                Fiscal Year October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017.

                                Funding is provided through Federal, State and County Grants in addition to City

                                contribution, local and the Seniors Foundation of NW Broward, Inc. donations. The

                                NWFP Senior Center operations fall under 4 different fiscal years:

a.                     October 1^st through September 30^th : City of Margate Fiscal Year

b.                     January 1^st through December 31^st : OAA (Older American Act) grant

c.                     April 1^st though March 31^st : EHEAP (Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program) grant

d.                     July 1^st through June 30^th: LSP (Local Service Provider) and CCE (Community Care for the Elderly) grants

RECOMMENDATION:                     TO APPROVE

FISCAL IMPACT:                     $985,611.00
