RESOLUTION - APPROVING THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH CORAL SPRINGS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO PROVIDE BULK POTABLE WATER DURING TIMES OF EMERGENCY.

Body

 

BACKGROUND:                     The agreement provides for a water system interconnect with Coral Springs Improvement District (CSID) for use during times of emergency.  The agreement also provides for a bulk unit rate for water use and a 50% cost share for the design, construction, and construction management of the interconnect.  The interconnect is proposed to be located at the west end of Margate Boulevard and will connect to the CSID water system with a new watermain installed underneath sunshine district drainage canal as part of this agreement.

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approve

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     Total Project Cost: $480,456.00

                     City of Margate Share (50%): $240,228.00

                     Acct. #: 461-6034-536.65-80&81 (FY 2017 Budget)

 

                     Bulk Unit Rate:  $1.525/ 1000 gallons
