PZ-05-16: PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT PLAN
BACKGROUND: The Margate Community Redevelopment Agency’s (MCRA) Redevelopment Plan was last amended in 2009. The MCRA is updating the plan to include the Agency’s current and planned
programs and projects, including financial projections.
Pursuant to Florida Statutes 163.360(4), the MCRA must submit the plan to the local planning agency of the municipality (Planning and Zoning Board) for review and recommendations as to its conformity to the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
RECOMMENDATION: The Planning and Zoning Board shall submit its written recommendations to the MCRA and the amended plan will be presented to the MCRA Board again. After approval by the MCRA Board, the amended plan will be submitted to the City Commission for final approval.
