Title

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF THE NORTHWEST FOCAL POINT SENIOR CENTER DISTRICT, PROVIDING FOR APPROVAL OF ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURES THROUGH REALOCATION OF 2016 GRANT FUNDS.

Body

BACKGROUND: The Areawide Council on Aging of Broward County granted the NWFP

Senior Center District an additional $ 12,515.00 OAA funds, which were

approved during the Board meeting on November 2nd, 2016. In addition,

the Center did not spend out the budgeted revenue for salaries and

wages due to staffing variances and other funding due to conservative

                                spending.

The OAA (Older American Act) and ACT (Transportation) contracts operate

by calendar year, starting  January 1st and ending December 31st. It is stipulated

that the funds need to be expensed by December 31, 2016. The recommendation

is to utilize this revenue in three expenditure categories that are in the best interest

                                of the Center.

RECOMMENDATION:                     TO APPROVE

FISCAL IMPACT:                     $27,150.00
