RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA APPROVING AWARD OF RFQ 2017-001 - FIRE STATION NO. 58 DESIGN SERVICES TO SALTZ MICHELSON ARCHITECTS, INC. WITH AN AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND RELATED SERVICES FOR THE PROPOSED PROJECT.

BACKGROUND:                                          

Pursuant to Resolution No. 17-002 the Administration negotiated a fee schedule and Agreement with Saltz Michelson Architects, Inc. for the design of Fire Station No. 58 (City Station No. 2).  The Agreement for consideration is a result of City RFQ 2017-001 which addresses the design, development of biddable plans and specifications, and subsequent construction project management for a new Fire Station No. 58 to replace the existing fire station at the same Rock Island Road location.  The fire station design is budgeted in the Capital Improvement Program (C.I.P.) for the current 2017 fiscal year.  The fire station construction is budgeted in the C.I.P. for the 2018 fiscal year.

FISCAL IMPACT:                       300,000.00

                     Budgeted in the FY17 Capital Improvement Project Fund
