Title

APPROVING A TRANSFER OF $29,807.22 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUND TO PROVIDE FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF 1999 CDBG HOME REHABILITATION FUNDS RESULTING FROM 2011 U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) AUDIT; PROVIDING FOR CONSISTENCY WITH PREVIOUS FEDERAL GRANT SYSTEM ENTRIES.

Body

BACKGROUND:                     A 2011 HUD audit was conducted of the Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS) (federal computer system).  The audit found that various activities were not closed out including home rehabilitation activities (#27, 28, and 33) from 1999. The City determined that relevant records had been disposed of and the City was unable to provide the necessary records to close out the activities. The City previously created entries in the federal computer system related to the reallocation of these funds. This resolution provides authorization for an internal City transfer of funds from the General Fund to the CDBG fund to match the IDIS computer system.  The budget amendment to adopt the formal transfer of funds will be completed as part of the year-end budget amendment for FY17.

RECOMMENDATION:                     For approval.

FISCAL IMPACT:                     $29,807.22 to be transferred from General Fund to CDBG
