TENANT UPDATE - LATIN CAFE
BACKGROUND:
As previously reported, the Latin Café is moving into the CRA space previously occupied by Beijing Restaurant.
The new tenant has indicated that they want to change the outside color of the building, to a color that is different from the rest of the shopping center. They intend to select a color from the City’s Non- Residential Color Palette Guidelines. The owner will be in attendance at the meeting to discuss their color choice.
Also, they are planning to apply for a license to sell beer and wine at the restaurant. Pursuant to the City’s location restrictions, they fall about 5% short of the distance requirement to churches (Prince of Peace Lutheran). They will be applying for a variance to that requirement. Staff will ensure that the church is notified of the date and time of the variance hearing.
