APPROVING APPOINTMENT(S) OF ________________ , ___________________, ____________________, ___________________ AND ___________________ TO THE FIVE MEMBER MARGATE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD FOR THE VACATED POSITION(S) FOR A TERM COMMENCING MARCH 19, 2017 - MARCH 21, 2018.
BACKGROUND: The Margate Planning and Zoning Board is a five (5) member board with one (1) year terms. The passing of Ordinance 2013-2 on March 6, 2013, created the current appointment and application procedures for the Margate Planning and Zoning Board. The backup has a detailed memorandum from the City Clerk with further information, including all applications on file.
Planning and Zoning Board (Current Board Members)
Todd E. Angier* (nominated by Mayor Ruzzano and appointed at the 3/16/16 Regular City Commission meeting)
Teresa DeCristofaro* (nominated by Vice Mayor Bryan, consensus given by Commission and appointed at 3/16/16 Regular City Commission meeting)
Phil Hylander* (nominated by Commissioner Peerman and appointed at the 3/16/16 Regular City Commission meeting)
*current board member and interested in re-appointment
** one (1) position is currently vacant due to past Board Member Anthony N. Caggiano (nominated by Vice Mayor Bryan in 2016) being elected as a Margate City Commissioner. Current Board Member Catherine Yardley (nominated by Commissioner Talerico in 2016) has stated she will not be serving beyond the current term.
