BACKGROUND:                                           On January 18, 2017, the City Commission approved submitting two (2) water quality improvement projects to the State Legislature for State appropriation consideration. These projects are the Lemon Tree Lake Water Quality Improvement Project and the Sewer Piping Rehabilitation Phase II Project. As part of the Florida House of Representatives water project submission process, the sponsoring House member must submit the project as a legislative bill. As such, Representative Kristin Jacobs has agreed to sponsor these bills and has submitted the City’s projects for consideration on the City’s behalf. The Lemon Tree Lake Water Quality Improvement Project is House Bill 3811 and the Sewer Piping Rehabilitation Phase II Project is House Bill 3813.
