Title
STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FLORIDA RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (FRDAP) UNIQUE ABILITIES CHECK PRESENTATION.
BACKGROUND: On March 1, 2017, the City Commission approved the grant award for the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP), Grant Agreement No. U7040. The City received $204,500 towards the Margate Sports Complex Capital Improvement project. As part of the FRDAP grant award, $204,500.00 will be dedicated to providing recreational enhancement and opportunities for individuals with unique abilities. Planned improvements for unique abilities include; renovating existing playground with 100% accessible surfacing and equipment for ages 2-5 and 5-12, improvements to the existing fitness trail, improvements to baseball fields.
The check presentation will be by Don Bergeron, Assistant Bureau Chief, Florida State Parks.
