READING PALS PROGRAM CHECK PRESENTATION (presented to Kathleen Cannon, LCSW President CEO, United Way of Broward County & Adriana LeCorge, Reading Pals Manager, United Way of Broward County)
BACKGROUND: As part of the 2016-2017 Annual Budget, the Margate City Commission approved funding the United Way Reading Pals program in the amount of $10,000. On February 15, 2017, the Margate City Commission directed staff to contact Margate Elementary School to see if they would be interested in participating in the program. On February 17, 2017, Thomas J. Schroeder, Principal of Margate Elementary School, proudly accepted the opportunity to participate in the program.
