RESOLUTION - APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF POMPANO BEACH TO PROVIDE BULK POTABLE WATER DURING TIMES OF EMERGENCY.

Body

 

BACKGROUND:                     The agreement provides for a water system interconnect with the City of Pompano Beach (COPB) for use during times of emergency. The agreement also provides for a bulk unit rate for water use and a 50% cost share for construction and construction management of the interconnect. The interconnect is proposed to be located north of Atlantic Boulevard immediately east of the Florida Turnpike.

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approve

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     Total Project Cost: $158,048

(Construction: $135,868, Construction Management: $22,180)

                     

City of Margate Share (50%): $79,024

                     Bulk Unit Rate:  $1.90/ 1000 gallons
