APPROVING A “MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING” WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE REGIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT EXCHANGE SYSTEM (R-LEX).

BACKGROUND:
The Florida Regional Law Enforcement Exchange (RLEX) is a law enforcement information sharing system that is designed to assist agencies in solving crime and fighting terrorism through improved data sharing.
The purpose of this MOU is to formally set forth the terms and conditions for participating in the RLEX system, including the ownership and control of the information within the system.
