BACKGROUND: At the May 17, 2017, Regular City Commission meeting, the City Commission discussed having a future City Commission Workshop to discuss how the City of Margate handles the distribution of City plaques.                     

 

The attached exhibit is a list of entities, events and groups that the City of Margate has provided plaques to in the past.  This list is not intended to be all inclusive. It is possible a plaque may have been disseminated to a person/party not on this list.

 

The average cost for a wood-styled plaque is $13.35: $11.70 for the plaque and $1.65 for shipping per plaque. Since October 1, 2016, approximately 245 plaques have been provided from the funding of City Commission Account - 001-0110-511.48-01 - Certificate Frames.
