Title
A RESOLUTION OF THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (“MCRA”), AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 523 TO EXTEND THE APPOINTMENT OF KIMBERLY VAZQUEZ AS THE INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AND THE MARGATE CITY MANAGER AS DESIGNEE IN THE ABSENCE OF KIMBERLY VAZQUEZ, UP TO AND INCLUDING JULY 11, 2017.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to the MCRA Bylaws, “The MCRA Board shall designate an Executive Director of the MCRA to administer its business and operations.”
At the prior CRA Board meeting, the Board appointed an Interim Executive Director through the June 14, 2017 meeting. The attached resolution extends that term, and reappoints Kimberly Vazquez to serve in the capacity as the Interim Director through the July 11, 2017 meeting and in her absence the City Manager.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution reappointing Kimberly Vazquez as the Interim Executive Director through the July 11, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding is allocated in 140-0510-512-31 75 - CRA Management Services; MCRA staff compensation, which is governed by MCRA’s services agreement with RMA, remains unchanged. That 5-year agreement, reached in 2015, provides for professional management staffing services including an Executive Director.
