Body

BACKGROUND:  Due to the inability of a previously awarded supplier to hold pricing for the prior renewal period, the City Commission, by means of City Resolution No. 16-240, approved a restructured award of Bid No. 2015-015.  That restructured award reduced the number of awarded suppliers from three down to two.  In recent weeks, one of the two remaining suppliers informed Purchasing that they would not be able to hold pricing for the twelve month renewal period that is scheduled to begin in August.  However, both suppliers have agreed to a limited three month term renewal beginning in August in order to allow sufficient time for a rebid and subsequent award.

RECOMMENDATION:  Approve the limited three month renewal

FISCAL IMPACT:  Approximately $75,000 is spent on an annual basis for bid related items as budgeted in multiple departmental accounts.
