Title
AN ORDINANCE TO ELIMINATE BOARD MEMBER SUBSTITUTIONS BETWEEN THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD AND THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT.
BACKGROUND: At the June 7th City Commission meeting, staff was directed to draft an ordinance to eliminate board member substitutions between the Planning and Zoning Board and the Board of Adjustment. The discussion leading up to this directive expressed concern as to whether a substitute member would have adequate time to review the back up for a meeting they were asked to cover. Some thought it would be better to postpone a particular meeting rather than have substitute board members that may not be fully prepared, making binding decisions.
