Title
APPROVAL OF AN ORDINANCE TO ADD DRIVE-THRU FACILITIES AS A SPECIAL EXCEPTION USE IN THE B-1 ZONING DISTRICT.
BACKGROUND: The owners of the Royal Palm Plaza shopping center located at 7300-7328 Royal Palm Boulevard propose a text amendment to the Margate Zoning Code to add “drive-through facilities” into the B-1 Neighborhood Business District. Drive-through facilities are not currently permitted in the B-1 zoning district.
RECOMMENDATION: This item was approved by the Development Review Committee on July 11, 2017. A draft copy of the meeting minutes is attached. The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval on August 7, 2017.
