WINFIELD BOULEVARD TRAFFIC CALMING AND STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS.

BACKGROUND:  At the July 11, 2017, the Board reviewed the final designs for the Winfield Boulevard Traffic Calming and Streetscape Improvement project between SR 7/US 441 and NW 63rd Avenue. At that meeting, the Board requested one (1) roundabout on Winfield Boulevard at NW 57th Terrace be removed and some modifications to the landscaping proposed for the project.

 

The final plans being presented include traffic calming by restriping and narrowing the travel lanes, some underground improvements required as part of the project, one (1) landscaped roundabout at NW 62nd Avenue, placement of small landscape median just west of NW 57th Terrace and beautification of the existing median areas. 

 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION: For discussion and input on the modifications to the plans.                      

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT: Funding is allocated in 340-0510-512.68-56. The budgeted amount is $450,000.
