Title
CHAPTER 19 - SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLABLES COLLECTION, PROCESSING AND DISPOSAL REVISIONS.
BACKGROUND: In November 2015, the City Commission approved Ordinance 2015-9 which repealed Chapter 19 and replaced it with the current version to conform to the newly approved Franchise Agreement for Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Services. Staff recently proposed an ordinance to revise Chapter 19 to provide for clarity and enforcement of the Chapter. The item passed on First Reading at the June 21, 2017, Regular City Commission meeting but failed to pass on Second Reading at the July 5, 2017 Regular City Commission meeting. This proposed ordinance has removed the regulation on the timing of placement for yard waste that was proposed in the failed ordinance.
