Title
CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES TO REVIEW TEMPORARY USE PERMITS.
BACKGROUND: Currently all outdoor events must be reviewed by the Development Review Committee (DRC) for approval. This ordinance proposes to provide regulations and procedures to review temporary use permits which will not require DRC approval of outdoor events. At the August 23, 2017 City Commission meeting, a motion was seconded and approved to remove all references to road closures.
RECOMMENDATION: The proposed ordinance was reviewed at the DRC on March 28, 2017 and some changes were recommended. The revised ordinance went before the DRC again on May 9, 2017 and it was approved with some additional changes. Copies of the signed meeting minutes from the March 28, 2017 and May 9, 2017 DRC meetings are attached. The Planning and Zoning Board approved the proposed ordinance with changes with a 5-0 vote at their meeting on June 6, 2017. A draft copy of those meeting minutes is attached. The City Commission approved the first reading of this ordinance at the August 23, 2017 meeting.
