BACKGROUND: This ordinance expands an existing use in the S-1 Recreational district; “municipal parks and playgrounds” to “municipal structures intended to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the community.” The ordinance provides setback exceptions for municipal structures, and offers a height limitation of 65 feet for municipal structures. This ordinance deletes Section 3.19 Setback from major roadways.
