BACKGROUND: The Margate Board of Adjustment is a five (5) member committee with two (2) year terms. The passing of Ordinance 2013-2 on March 6, 2013, created the current appointment and application procedures for the Margate Board of Adjustment. Based on action taken by the City Commission at the August 23, 2017, Regular City Commission meeting, the terms for the Board of Adjustment and Planning & Zoning Board have been changed from one (1) year to two (2) years.
Due to the resignation of Board of Adjustment Board Member Ruben Rivadeneira, there is a vacancy on the Board of Adjustment.

* Frederick Schweitzer (nominated by Vice Mayor Schwartz and appointed at the 7/5/17 Regular City Commission meeting to fill a vacancy due to the resignation of Paul Barasch)
* VACANT (this position was previously filled by Ruben Rivadeneria, who was nominated by Mayor Ruzzano and appointed at the 3/15/17 Regular City Commission meeting)
