BACKGROUND:                                  Requesting to replace two unmarked vehicles within the Criminal Investigations Unit. Both vehicles being replaced have reached the end of their useful life expectancy. The replacement vehicles will be a 2018 Ford Explorer and a 2018 Ford Taurus. Both vehicles will be purchased utilizing the Florida Sheriff’s Association Bid No. 17-VEL25.0 pricing. The total purchase price of both vehicles is $46,375. The vehicles are being purchased with funding from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund. The remaining $4,825 will be for the purchase and installation of ancillary equipment. The total costs of both vehicles, including the ancillary equipment, will not exceed $51,200.
