Title
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN ACCESS EASEMENT FROM THE CITY OF MARGATE.
BACKGROUND: A proposed covered sports field will be constructed by the CRA on CRA owned property at 1675 Banks Road, adjacent to the City’s Sports Complex. Although it will be built on CRA owned land, the covered sports field will be fully integrated as an additional facility within the City’s existing Sports Complex, and will rely on the Sports Complex’s existing entry roads and parking lots. Certain cross easements are needed so that the properties are functionally unified despite separate ownership. The proposed Declaration provides access and parking rights to tie the two properties together in conformance with City zoning regulations. This is similar but distinct from the Declaration previously granted by the City, which only satisfied a Broward County platting requirement for legal access. It is anticipated that the proposed Declaration will be presented to the City Commission for approval at its March 21, 2018 meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to accept the Easement.
