Title

OPTIONS REGARDING THE TRANSIT-ORIENTED CORRIDOR (TOC) - PRESENTATION BY JEFF KATIMS OF THE MELLGREN PLANNING GROUP.

Body

BACKGROUND:                     The City Commission held a public workshop in November 2017 that was facilitated by Jeff Katims of the Mellgren Planning Group.  The purpose of the workshop was to discuss the Transit Oriented Corridor (TOC) land use and land development regulations, focusing on concerns of parking, setbacks, mixed use, and height.  When discussing concerns and presented with options, the Commission had consensus to take a “surgical approach” to addressing concerns with the TOC.  This presentation is a follow up of the workshop and provides an analysis of TOC vs non-TOC zoning regulations, as well as recommendations for the surgical approach.
