Title
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A DECLARATION OF ACCESS EASEMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE COVERED SPORTS FIELD TO BE CONSTRUCTED AT 1675 BANKS ROAD.
BACKGROUND: A covered sports field will be constructed on CRA owned property at 1675 Banks Road, adjacent to the City’s Sports Complex. This project will function as an integral facility within the City Sports Complex, and will rely on the Sports Complex’s existing entry roads and parking lots. Although the covered sports field will ultimately become the property of the City, at the present time these proposed improvements will be located on a separate property with different ownership. For this reason, an access easement is needed so that the properties are functionally unified despite separate ownership. The proposed Declaration provides functional and legal access and parking rights to tie the two properties together in conformance with City zoning regulations. This dedication also allows for the elimination of unnecessary buffers between the two properties.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution to execute the Declaration of Easement
