APPROVING THE GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MARGATE AND STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND PROGRAM-AGREEMENT NO. LW675.
BACKGROUND: The City of Margate applied for a $200,000 grant for park improvements to Firefighter Park in the FY 2017 grant cycle. We were awarded full funding as requested, and this agreement will allow the City of Margate to commence the improvements budgeted and proposed for Capital Improvements to Firefighters Park. This agreement shall be effective September 22, 2017 - September 30, 2020. However, all work under this agreement must be completed by May 31, 2020.
Summary of Improvements Approved for Grant funding are as follows;
• Tennis Court Renovations
• Basketball Court Renovations
• Picnic Shelter Renovations
• Restroom Renovations
• Fitness Trail New Installation
• Picnic Shelter New Installation
• Playground New Installation
RECOMMENDATION: To Approve
FISCAL IMPACT: $200,000 CITY / $200,000 STATE
