RESOLUTION - APPROVING PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A WIRELESS FUEL MASTER 3505 SYSTEM FROM ADAMS TANK & LIFT, UTILIZING NATIONAL JOINT POWERS ALLIANCE (NJPA) COOPERATIVE PURCHASING CONTRACT NUMBER 022217-SYS; IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $30,000.

Body

BACKGROUND:                     The current fuel management system is approximately 18 years old and is constantly in need of repair.  This causes problems accurately tracking the fuel disbursement and reporting requirements. Staff and the Information Technology Department received demonstrations from TRAK, Fluid Secure and Fuel Master, Fuel Management System. TRAK is the current fuel management system the City has in place and staff does not recommend purchasing this system again. The company has become difficult to work with and on several occasions non-responsive when called to service the equipment. The Fuel Master system is a superior system and widely used by many municipalities with great success.
