Title
RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MARGATE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR SPECIAL DUTY DETAIL AT MCRA SPONSORED EVENTS
BACKGROUND: The MCRA has used a standard City of Margate Special Duty Detail Request form in the past for special duty detail provided at MCRA sponsored events. A separate version has been created specifically for the Margate CRA (copy attached) to clean up and formalize the terms of the agreement. The MCRA agreement will be for a one-year term effective July 21, 2018 through June 30, 2019.
The revised agreement reflects rate increases enacted by the Margate Police Department for the special duty detail services it provides as well as the number of holiday/high demand rate dates for which the rates would apply. A summary of the rate and date changes is as follows:

RECOMMENDATION: Approval
FISCAL IMPACT: Special duty detail charges are covered under the various event budget line items.
