Title
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN PAINTSCAPING, INC., AND THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR A 3D PROJECTION MAPPING HOLIDAY SHOW.
BACKGROUND: PaintScaping, Inc. has provided a 3D Mapping animated holiday projection show at the Winter Festival for the past two years. Nick Cucunato, Public Works superintendant, reached out to other media design companies for a similar type show in 2016 and obtained written cost proposals. Prices on the proposals ranged from $108,980 to $128,500 for creation and production of a one-night show.
Overall feedback on the show has been very positive and Mr. Cucunato has recommended that we contract with them again for 2018. PaintScaping has proposed three options for the 2018 production:
1) Run the same show as in 2017 (no additions) at a reduced cost of $23,000 (cost was $28,800 in 2017)
2) Run the same show as in 2017 PLUS add two minutes; total cost would be $33,000
3) Produce a new six minute show at a cost of $43,000
RECOMMENDATION: Board to make a selection between the three options.
FISCAL IMPACT: Cost will be between $23,000 - $43,000 based on option selected and is contingent upon approval of the budget for fiscal year 2018-2019 in account #140-0510-512.31-46.
In addition, Paintscaping has requested the MCRA provide room accommodations for one of its employee for three (3) nights (Wed., December 12 to Sat., December 15, 2018) at a local hotel
