Title

RESOLUTION - AWARDING CONTINUING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH HAZEN AND SAWYER, P.C. FOR REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) 2018-009 - WATER AND WASTEWATER ENGINEERING SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Body

BACKGROUND:

Pursuant to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2018-009 and the authorization to negotiate approved by Resolution No. 18-035, continuing services agreements for water and wastewater engineering services were negotiated with the top five ranked firms.  Staff recommends awarding continuing services agreements with the top five ranked firms.  Agreements with four of those firms were awarded during the City Commission meeting held on June 20, 2018.  Final negotiations with the fifth firm Hazen and Sawyer are now complete and staff recommends awarding that firm an agreement which mirrors those previously awarded to the other four firms.  The terms recommended are an initial period of three (3) years with the City administration being authorized to act on behalf of the City to exercise the options to renew the agreement for two (2) additional one (1) year terms provided both parties agree, providing all terms, conditions, and specifications remain the same; providing for availability of funding.

RECOMMENDATION:  Award the continuing services agreement

FISCAL IMPACT:                       Fiscal impact will be based upon the available budgeted funds in Water/Wastewater Renewal and Replacement Fund (461) for various projects.
