SPECIAL EVENTS FUNDING/DONATION REQUEST PROGRAM - WOMEN IN DISTRESS OF BROWARD COUNTY, INC.
BACKGROUND: Organizations or individuals seeking funding from the City of Margate must complete the Special Events Funding/Donation Request Application for Organizations or the Special Events Funding/Donation Request Application for Individuals. The amount requested cannot exceed $1,000 per organization or $500 per individual.
For requests by both organizations and individuals, the funding request must further a public purpose as determined by the City Commission. The application is included as part of the backup.
Women in Distress is making this request in the amount of $1,000 for the purpose of providing 10 nights of safe emergency shelter for the residents of the City of Margate.
RECOMMENDATION: For discussion and possible action.
FISCAL IMPACT: As determined by the City Commission, funded from Account City Commission - General - 001-0110-511.82-15
