AWARDING CONTINUING SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH (1) CHEN-MOORE & ASSOCIATES, INC., (2) CARNAHAN, PROCTOR AND CROSS, INC. AND (3) LAKDAS/YOHALEM ENGINEERING, INC., FOR REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) 2018-012 - CIVIL ENGINEERING SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND:  Pursuant to Resolution 18-142, the Administration was authorized to negotiate continuing services agreements with three civil engineering firms as a result of City Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2018-012 - Civil Engineering Services.  A negotiation team was established and subsequently negotiated continuing services agreements with all three firms that are now being presented for consideration by the Commission. 

 

If approved, the three firms shall be authorized by staff to provide civil engineering services as needed based on the rate schedules stipulated in each individual firm’s agreement with the City and in accordance with all applicable governing laws provided for under the State of Florida Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) statute 287.055 and other applicable law.                                           

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approve

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:  The City does not incur any costs until services are utilized as part of future projects. Expenditure limits will then be based upon available budgeted funds in various Capital Improvement funds.
