Title
RESOLUTION - AWARDING BID NO. 2019-004 - SUPPLY AND DELIVER DELL OPTIPLEX 7060 SFF DESKTOP PCS TO ADVANTAGE NETWORKING, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $130,796.40; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
BACKGROUND: The City advertised for Bid No. 2019-004 to supply and deliver a total quantity of 115 Dell OptiPlex 7060 SFF Desktop PCs with monitors. Twenty-one bid packages were issued to potential bidders and five responses were received.
The bids received were reviewed for compliance with the bid specifications. Subsequently, it was determined that the apparent lowest bidder had not included the cost of computer monitors in their submitted bid pricing. This omission led to the determination that that particular bid submission was not accordance with the bid specifications and therefore non-responsive. The next lowest bidder, Advantage Networking, Inc., submitted a bid that was found to be responsive and in accordance with the bid specifications.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve
