APPROVING LAW ENFORCEMENT MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT FOR TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 23.1225 (1) (2) OF THE FLORIDA STATUTES, KNOWN AS THE FLORIDA MUTUAL AID ACT.

BACKGROUND:

                                          

The Agreement covers traffic enforcement activities across jurisdictional boundaries in certain defined circumstances for the purpose of protecting the public peace and safety and preserving the lives and property of the citizens of each Governmental Entity.

 

Pursuant to Section 23.1225 (1) (2) of the Florida Statutes, known as the Florida Mutual Aid Act, upon final adoption by the Sheriff of Broward County, this activity will be authorized and subject to specific Margate Police Department rules outlined in appropriate General Orders.

 

This Agreement shall be in effect from May 1, 2019 through April 30, 2023.
