Title
RESOLUTION - APPROVING REJECTION OF ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR BID NO. 2019-003 - LIFT STATION NO. 7 RENOVATION PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR REDESIGN OF THE RENOVATION PROJECT AND FUTURE RE-BID; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BACKGROUND: Staff solicited bids for Bid No. 2019-003 - Lift Station No. 7 Renovation Project for the Department of Environmental and Engineering Services (DEES). Ten bid submissions were received. Subsequent to receipt of the bids, it was determined that the attempted design modifications made by addenda during the bid process, due to an issue involving overhead powerlines, were not sufficient to comfortably move ahead with the existing design without additional consideration. Project Manager Sierra Marrero has recommended rejection of all bids with a redesign and re-bid of the project at a later date.
Purchasing concurs with the Project Manager’s recommendation.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve rejection of all bids
FISCAL IMPACT: None at this time.
